The Engagement

Concordia College Alabama, a historically Black Lutheran college located in Selma, Alabama, closed at the end of the Spring 2018 semester following years of declining enrollment and mounting financial pressure. Eaton Hudson was engaged to manage the complete disposition of the college's campus assets.

Jim Schaye, CEO of Eaton Hudson, noted: "Our collegiate asset disposition experts will be on-site to conduct this important project using a combination of online and onsite sales and auctions to deliver the maximum value for all of their assets." Sarah Thobae, Eaton Hudson's Collegiate Asset Disposition Director, added: "Our leadership team has visited the school on many occasions and respects the foundation they have laid down in the community." The public sale opened on November 30, 2018 at the college's Recreation Center, with an online alumni memorabilia auction following.
