Jack J. Nichols

General Counsel

Jack J. Nichols is a strategic legal architect who operates at the high-stakes intersection of corporate jurisprudence and business operations. As General Counsel at Eaton Hudson, Jack provides the comprehensive oversight necessary to navigate the complexities of modern asset management, retail operations, and corporate restructuring. Holding both a Juris Doctorate and an MBA, he offers a rare, dual-lens perspective where legal counsel is inextricably linked to the fiscal health and long-term viability of the enterprise.

Since entering practice in 2012, Jack has cultivated an expansive professional footprint that spans South Dakota, Minnesota, and Texas, including successful advocacy within federal courts. His career trajectory is defined by a remarkable versatility; he has steered clients through an exhaustive range of legal landscapes, from civil rights actions and complex bankruptcy cases to high-value business mergers. His "North Star" achievements include a decade of leadership as the founder of Jack J. Nichols P.C. and his current role as Managing Partner of Labor Advocate Law Firm, where he continues to redefine the standards for corporate advocacy and dispute resolution.

Jack's leadership philosophy is rooted in the conviction that the most effective legal advice is both intellectually rigorous and relentlessly practical. He rejects the notion of law as a static series of obstacles, instead viewing it as a dynamic framework for business enablement. Whether he is stabilizing a distressed asset or facilitating a multi-million dollar merger, his focus remains on protecting the organization's rights while ensuring a clear, efficient path to the desired strategic objective.

Jack earned his Bachelor's degree in History from the University of South Dakota before completing his JD and MBA at Creighton University. He is an active member of the Texas and South Dakota State Bars and serves within the Corporate Counsel, Litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution sections of the Houston Bar Association.
